Literary

Literary is a collection of academic and music events. Students compete through the GISA at both the regional and state levels. Students can participate in the following events: Piano, Trio, Quartet (Boys), Solo (Boys and Girls),Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking, International Extemporaneous Speaking, Dramatic Oral Interpretation, Humorous Oral Interpretation, Duo Oral Interpretation, Personal Essay (Non-gender), Argumentative Essay (Non-gender), Rhetorical Analysis Essay (Non-gender), and Spelling. Students can participate in up to two individual events and as many group events as they would like. Literary is considered a varsity level activity and the high school teacher’s will hold auditions for the music and dramatic events and will select the student who will represent the school in the written and spelling categories.
