Tennis

The Highlander tennis program is open to all students, grades 6 – 12. The season runs from late winter to mid-spring. The tennis program is led by Coach April Causer and Coach Ami Whilden.

 

April Causer Biography

After assisting Coach Tom for three years in the FPCA tennis program, April Causer is taking over as head coach. Coach Causer has played tennis since she was six years old. She also played in high school

and went to the State Championships her senior year, receiving MVP honors. She went to Shepherd college in Shepherdstown, West Virginia on a tennis scholarship and won the state tennis championship.

She then preceded to the NAIA nationals in Kansas City. She graduated college in 1989 with accounting degree and minor in political science. Coach Causer plans to help the tennis team continue their growth

over the coming years. The team works hard and gives everything in developing their skills. They have a wonderful attitude on the court and off and will continue to do so win or lose.

Coach Causer is very proud of the team and glad to be a part of the FPCA family. April Causer has three children. Wesley age 21, Martin age 19, and Tyler age 16. Wesley and Martin attend

East Georgia College and Tyler is a student at FPCA.  Ami Whilden will be coach tennis along with April Causer. (Coach Whilden’s biography available on volleyball page.)
